Thomas brings 30 years of experience in investment management and equity research to his role as a Partner and Market Strategist at BK Capital, LLC. As a key member of the firm’s investment committee, Thomas is responsible for reviewing and designing all client portfolios. He leads the investment selection process, guiding portfolio allocation, monitoring investments, and ensuring optimal strategies are in place to meet client goals. Additionally, Thomas spearheads the firm's retirement plan investments, providing plan sponsors and trustees with investment due diligence, service provider benchmarking, performance analysis, and fiduciary compliance. He also plays a vital role in participant education within retirement plans.
Before joining BK Capital, Thomas was a senior advisor at PASI Investments, where he managed the selection of investments and maintained custom model portfolios for clients. He also provided education to 401(k) plan trustees and worked closely with them to review plan investments.
Thomas' career also includes significant experience at T.H. Fitzgerald & Co., where he served as head trader for the composite portfolio, managed an offshore fund, and performed equity research, strategic market analysis, and information technology tasks. His work at T.H. Fitzgerald ultimately led to the creation of Momentrix Investing, an online investment newsletter. The success of this venture inspired the development of his unique investment methodology, the Fundamental Momentum Investment Strategy, which he adopted in founding Fundamental Momentum Investing, LLC. At FMI, Thomas focused on portfolio management, client relationship building, equity research, economic analysis, and retirement plan management, including employee education and mutual fund selection.
Thomas earned his BS in Finance from Post University in 1997 and holds his Series 65 license.
Thomas resides in Southbury, Connecticut, with his wife Charissa and their son Thomas. Outside of work, he enjoys spending quality time with his family, golfing, watching the Mets and Giants, gardening, and occasionally fishing.
